Everyone has battles with these behaviors from time to time, effective leaders are able to meter those feelings and avoid projecting these behaviors to their teams. In hierarchical organizations like physician practices, it is very easy for the physicians to lose sight of their impact on all other team members and become toxic within their own organization. At some point the physician leader has to mentally overcome the typical ups and downs of life and business and focus on those productive tasks and behaviors that can lead to long term success.
